The day before Spring Equinox and there was yet another snow storm. I spent most of the day cleaning my studio. It was spontaneous, unplanned, and I was surprised how much unfinished, unresolved or completed projects and ideas I could release in the process. And how much energy I gained from clearing out all that mental clutter.
My reward was to spend some time painting, a portrait of a very close friend. Experimenting with water mixable oil.
On my mind just now:
- Feeling a surge of energy
- Ticking off one thing after another on my to-do list
- Leaving space in-between
- Wondering how to deal with my diverse art work, how to patch together my interest in art, design and photography. Maybe I shouldn't even worry about it, maybe it's not a question of patching something together, but I do think about it.
